This is a practical and theoretical introduction to interpreting in professional and community settings such as health care, human services, and education. The course includes theory and practice in the modes of interpretation, interpreter ethics, roles of the interpreter, memory development, and note-taking skills, as well as exposure to specialized topics and terminology.
