Prospective elementary teachers will explore methods and materials used in teaching elementary school science, how constructivist teaching helps students develop science process skills, and how arts integration supports student learning. Students will use school, library, internet resources, and plan science activities/demonstrations that encourage students to use guided inquiry to solve problems. Students will practice designing objectives, key questions, and assessments to measure student understanding and you will receive feedback on your practice so that your work will be “classroom ready”.
